Scheduled flight to Cairo, followed by a short domestic flight to Luxor (approximately one hour). Upon arrival in Luxor, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will assist you with customs formalities and transfer you to the landing stage for your 5-star Nile cruise ship. In the evening, enjoy the opportunity to explore Luxor at your leisure.
In the morning, cross to the west bank to visit several burial chambers in the Valley of the Kings, followed by a visit to the rock temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The journey continues to the holiest temple complex of Karnak, the Great Temple of Amun. Then, travel along a kilometer-long avenue of sphinxes to reach the Luxor Temple. Dinner and overnight stay are on board the ship. After dinner, the ship sails towards Esna via Edfu. Arrival and overnight stay on board in Esna.
In the morning, visit the Temple of Horus, followed by the Kom Ombo double temples. Enjoy the scenic Nile landscape as you journey towards Aswan. Overnight stay on board in Aswan.
Visit the Aswan Dam, a monumental engineering feat of the century. Then explore the east bank of the Nile to see the unfinished 42-meter-high obelisk. Afterwards, take a small boat to the beautiful Philae Temple. In the afternoon, you can book an optional panoramic boat excursion with your tour guide to Lord Kitchener Island. Depending on the wind, this trip is done by motorboat or traditional felucca. Overnight on board in Aswan.
The morning is at leisure in Aswan. In the afternoon, disembark from your Nile ship and take a domestic flight (or drive) from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed, transferred, and boarded onto your Nasser Lake cruise ship.
In the morning, you and your guide will visit the famous rock temple complex of Abu Simbel, renowned for its colossal statues of Ramses II at the entrance. After the tour, return to your Nasser Lake cruise ship for lunch on board. In the evening, you may book a sound and light show with your tour guide to experience the temple in a magical atmosphere.
Enjoy a unique view of the rock island from the sun deck as your ship sails towards the archaeological site of Qasr Ibrim. Along the way, you will pass the Temples of Amada and Ed-Derr, and visit the tomb of Pennut. Your journey continues to the temples of Ad-Dakka (dedicated to Amon Re and Thoth) and Al-Maharraqa in Wadi el-Seboua. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to experience a traditional Nubian show featuring dance and music. Then, continue your voyage to Aswan.
Today, arrive in Aswan and disembark. Your travel companion will escort you to the airport and assist with the flight and customs formalities for your return journey.
