Itinerary
Day by day through the land of the pharaohs
Arrival in Cairo
Scheduled flight to Cairo. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed with assistance through entry and customs formalities. Afterward, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, your private guide will accompany you to the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. Afterwards, you will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Lunch included.
Flight to Abu Simbel
Flight from Cairo to Abu Simbel. Following a welcome by your local host, the tour of the impressive temple of Ramses II on Lake Nasser begins.
Nubian Heritage in Abu Simbel
Explore southern Nubia – famous for the rock-cut temple honoring King Ramses II and his queen Nefertari, built in the 13th century BC.
Aswan & Embarkation
Flight to Aswan. Sightseeing: High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, and Philae Temple. Embarkation on your Nile cruise ship. Optional: Felucca ride. Continue sailing toward Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo & Edfu
Morning visit to the double temple of Kom Ombo. Travel to Edfu by horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Horus. Continue via the Esna lock to Luxor.
Luxor: East & West Bank
Visits to the temples of Karnak and Luxor (East Bank). After lunch, proceed to the West Bank: Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Hatshepsut Temple.
Departure
Morning transfer to the airport. Assistance with departure formalities and return flight to Switzerland.

Fool: Purée of fava beans simmered for hours with lemon, spices, oil, and sesame paste.
