7 Nights Nile Sailing Cruise ( Luxor / Aswan )
Take a scheduled flight to Cairo, followed by a one-hour domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your Dahabeya—a traditional Egyptian sailing boat—featuring tastefully designed cabins full of authentic Oriental charm.
After breakfast, our team will accompany you to visit the sacred Karnak Temple complex, home to the Great Temple of Amun. You will then reach the Luxor Temple via a kilometer-long avenue lined with sphinxes. The journey continues to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, as well as Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile. Dinner and overnight will be on board the Dahabiya Nile cruise.
Set sail through the beautiful Nile landscape as your journey begins towards Aswan. During lunch on board, the ship will pass through the Esna lock. Dinner will be served during the voyage, with dinner and overnight accommodations on board.
While enjoying your lunch, your journey continues to El Kab, one of Egypt’s oldest cities, now in ruins (with an optional donkey ride). The cruise then proceeds to Edfu, where you will visit the Temple of Horus in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Egyptian barbecue dinner. Overnight stay will be on Fawaza Island.
Sail to Gebel el-Silsila, the historic quarry where stones for many Egyptian temples were extracted. After the excursion, the ship will anchor for the night at one of the smaller Nile islands.
After breakfast, you will visit the temples of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo. The sailing trip then continues to Aswan, where lunch and a sunset dinner on the deck will be served.
Today, you will visit the High Dam (the dam of Lake Nasser), the granite quarries featuring the Unfinished Obelisk, and Elephantine Island. Afterwards, enjoy a short sail on a traditional felucca to Kitchener Island, home to a beautiful botanical garden.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Your travel companion will assist you with the flight and customs formalities for your return journey.
