Luxor / Aswan / Luxor
Day 1
Take your scheduled flight to Cairo, followed by a short domestic flight to Luxor (approx. one hour). Upon arrival, our friendly staff will assist you with customs formalities and transfer you to your 5-star Nile cruise ship. In the evening, enjoy some free time to explore Luxor at your leisure.
Day 2
After breakfast, explore the sacred Karnak Temple Complex, including the Great Temple of Amun and its impressive hypostyle hall with towering gates and a columned forest. Continue to the city center to visit Luxor Temple, dedicated to King Amun, connected to Karnak by the historic Avenue of the Sphinxes. In the afternoon, your Nile cruise ship departs, sailing via Esna toward Kom Ombo. Meals and overnight are served on board.
Day 3
Early in the morning, sail to Kom Ombo to explore the Temple of Sobek and Horus, dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus. Admire the intricate reliefs depicting the two gods and see the mummified crocodiles, a unique historical curiosity, at the Crocodile Museum. Continue your journey to Aswan, where you will enjoy an overnight stay on board.
Day 4
Today, take a motorboat ride to Agilika Island to visit the magnificent Philae Temple (Hut-cheseti, “House of the Beginning”), located about 8 km south of Aswan. This impressive temple is dedicated to Isis, the patron goddess and the “Pearl of the Nile,” renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance.
Day 5
Spend a full day at leisure in Aswan to relax, explore the vibrant Aswan souk, or book an optional excursion with your tour guide to Abu Simbel. Visit the majestic Great Temple of Ramses II and the nearby Temple of Nefertari, two of Egypt’s most impressive ancient sites. Afterwards, continue your Nile cruise toward Edfu, where you will spend the night on board.
Day 6
Relax on the inviting sun deck of your Nile cruise ship and enjoy the stunning ancient Nile landscape as you sail through the morning. The journey continues toward Esna, offering picturesque views of the river and surrounding scenery.
Day 7
After breakfast, visit the West Bank of the Nile in Thebes-West, exploring the expansive Valley of the Kings and the iconic Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This beautifully terraced temple is one of Egypt’s most photographed monuments. In the Valley of the Kings, discover some of the 62 royal tombs, including the world-famous tomb of Tutankhamun.
Day 8
On your final day, our travel companion will assist you with airport transfer, flight arrangements, and customs formalities, ensuring a smooth and stress-free return journey home after your unforgettable Egyptian adventure.
